Girls Win, Boys Struggle In Home Double Header

The GT/RA basketball teams hosted the Alta-Aurelia Warriors on Tuesday night in a conference match-up.

The Titan girls came on the floor ready to play as they went into the halftime break with a 7 point lead, and never allowed the Warriors back into the contest as they won 60-44. 

The girls were led by senior Madison Hough who put up 23 points, five assists, and nine steals. Merecedes DePyper added a double-double to the night with 12 points and 10 rebounds while Lauren Josephson did the work on the boards pulling down 11 rebounds, seven being on offense. 

The girls advance to 5-10 on the season, 2-4 in conference play.

The Titan boys basketball team was unable to have the success that the girls team had. As they headed into halftime down by eight and the Warriors were in control the rest of the way with the Titans losing 80-53. The Titans drop to 4-9 overall and 0-6 in conference play.

The Titan basketball teams will be hosting another conference match-up on January 24 against West Bend-Mallard with a start time of the 6:00PM for the girls with the boys game to follow.
