Cacek ranked #1, Roth at #4 in Class 1A standings
The Titan wrestlers traveled to Spirit Lake Tuesday night for a dual match-up against the Spirit Lake Park Indians. They were unable to overcome the forfeitures, losing this one 58-22.
The TItans had wrestlers in seven weight classes, four were victories, one of which being a forfeit for Carson Torreson at the 106-pound weight class. At the 120-pound class, Cade Stearns earned the victory with a 12-0 major decision over Eric Tapia from Spirit Lake. The next five matches went to Spirit Lake, as the Titans gave up two forfeits, two falls and a major decision heading into the 160-pound weight class.
Spencer Roth came out looking to get off the mat quickly as he earned the victory by way of fall in 46 seconds over Lucas Gunderson from Spirit Lake. The next two matches went to Spirit Lake, before Treyton Cacek earned the final victory of the night for the Titans.
Treyton Cacek remains undefeated as his win streak continues since 2018. According to www.thepredicament.com, Cacek holds the number one spot in the 1A rankings at 182-pounds. Spencer Roth has also been holding the fourth spot in the rankings at the 160-pound class for 1A. These rankings were published on January 9th prior to this dual and Saturday’s invite.
The Titan wrestlers will be on the mat against Alta-Aurelia and Kingsley-Pierson on January 16th with the first match starting at 6:00PM in a double-dual match-up at Lake View.
