The Titan basketball teams traveled to Sioux Central on Monday night for a showdown with the Rebels, losing both games.
GT/RA’s girls basketball team was hoping to make it two straight in conference play after their victory over Manson NW-Webster. Sioux Central had other plans as they were in control of this one throughout with a final score of 58-48 in favor of Sioux Central.
Madison Hough did all she could for the TItan’s, scoring 31 points on 12/23 shooting, four assists and six steals on the defensive end. The loss brings the Titans to a record of 3-8 overall, and 1-3 in conference play.
The boys basketball team from GT/RA has been struggling as of late dropping their fifth straight against the Rebels.
The boys were unable to control the offensive output of the Rebels who shot 55% from the field and went into halftime with a 13 point lead and all the momentum.
In the third quarter the Titans were outscored 21-6, which all but ended it with one quarter to play. The game ended with a final score of 71-44 in favor of the Rebels.
The Titans fall to 3-7 overall and 0-4 in conference match-ups as they continue to struggle.
The Titan basketball teams will be traveling to Pocahontas this Friday, January 17, for a double-header with the Indians.
