GT/RA to host Double-header with Manson-NW Webster

Cougars, Titans look to earn first conference victory of the season tonight.

The Titans are set for a match-up with the Cougars tonight as they look to put one in the win column and put an end to their drought.

The Titan girls have had a rough road in the past month as they have been unable to get their offensive struggles in control, leading to their last five losses and a record of 2-7. The Cougars have lost their last three bringing their record to 1-8, and both of these teams are looking to get their first conference win of the season.

The Titans are led by Senior Madison Hough who leads the Titans in scoring with an average of 19 points per game and a few steals on the defensive end. The defensive play is where the Titans have the advantage in this one, averaging 10 steals per game.

The Titan boys basketball team also is looking to end their losing streak with a record of 3-5 as they face off against a win-less Cougar team at 0-9.  Led by freshman Max Hough (13PPG; 5Ass; 3STL), the Titans will likely aim to take advantage of the defensive woes that the Cougars are struggling with.

The Cougars have been allowing teams to put up an average of 67 points per game. Both teams lost by 30+ points in their last match-ups and are hoping to get their first conference win of the season in tonight’s match-up.

Tip off is at 6:00PM at the Ruthven-Ayrshire Community School.
