Graettinger-Terril Boy’s Basketball Preview

New faces to the court as the Titans take the court for the 2020 season.

The Graettinger-Terril Titans finished their 2018-2019 season with a 9-12 overall record where the team was able to score 51.7 points per game on the year. The team will be missing a significant number of seniors this season after losing a total of seven. This will open the team up for plenty of opportunity for under-classmen to find their way onto the court; returning two seniors, one sophomore and three freshmen according to last seasons roster.

Now sophomore Blake Rosacker started to see more and more time on the court about one-quarter of the way through the season having played a total of 15 out of 21 games. He ended his year averaging 2 ½ points per game and had an 83% free throw percentage.

Senior Kadin Norris contributed his talents on the offensive side of the ball by earning 65 assists which was second best and defensively earned a team high of 39 steals on the year.

The team had difficulties stringing together wins and fell to a number of losing streaks, but would continue to fight throughout the season earning important wins to stay at the top of the list in the Corn Belt Conference.

Having put most of the seniors on the court last year, a new group of talent will be sure to come out on display this season which will add to opportunities to form an even better squad in the coming years.

The Titans will begin practicing on November 18th and will begin their competition December 3rd against the West Bend-Mallard Wolverines.
