An Emmetsburg woman was arrested last week following a traffic stop by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office when it was found she had two warrants out for her arrest.
The Sheriff’s Office reported on Monday that a car was stopped at 11:10 p.m. on October 31 in the 4300 block of 360th Street for not dimming its bright headlights.
A passenger in the vehicle, 29-year-old Laura Lazo, was wanted on two warrants, one through Wright County for failure to appear and one through Palo Alto County for fifth-degree theft.
Laura was served with the warrants, arrested and taken to the Palo Alto County Jail.
At the time of her arrest, Laura was held on a total cash or surety bond of $1,350. She was held to appear before a judge.
The driver of the vehicle received a warning for the traffic violation.
